Restoration work is commonly applied to older buildings, returning them to – or as close as possible to – their original condition.
This technique is typically employed when a building is in need of repair without the requirement for modernising its appearance. This is often the case with heritage buildings and where the owners prefer the building to retain the original appearance. Restoration can involve major repairs to some structures, including rebuilding severely damaged or missing parts of a building. Although more modern materials and techniques may be used, the desired result is a building whose appearance is in line with that when it was originally built.

Hitech Remedial was contracted to complete a very significant body of remedial work on our beach villas. I found the Hitech team to be highly professional and easy to deal with. During the works Hitech became aware of additional issues not picked up in the initial contract specifications and in some cases, better ways to fix problems. This has meant that some items have been completed to a standard well above that originally specified by the insurance company assessors.
The works constructed by Hitech were managed in an efficient manner, allowing for all trades and subcontractors, ensuring the construction was completed within the agreed construction program to the scope of works. The standard of site control and management workmanship was to the highest level, in excess of normal building standards.
I found that both Hitech’s staff and contractors were professional, approachable and highly competent in their field of expertise. The team at Hitech completed the works to a high standard, on time, with no complications and zero safety incidents onsite. Hitech staff took extra measures in protecting the owners’ belongings and communicated with the residents directly as to what works were scheduled to be carried out on a fortnightly basis. The end result of this rectification speaks for itself, where it has increased the value of this property and extended its longevity.
